Join Capitol Hill, DuPont Park, and New Life Seventh-day Adventist Churches for a special Dusk ’Til Dawn Prayer Vigil on Friday, October 9, from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am on October 10 via Zoom. Centered on the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:1–12), we’ll come together for Scripture and prayer for some of the urgent needs facing our families, communities, and world—including job loss, illness, grief, violence, racism, addiction, loneliness, and spiritual renewal. You don’t have to stay all night! Log on for one hour, several hours, or the entire night. Everyone is welcome, so invite your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and others to join us as we pray together and seek God in these challenging times.
Theme: “Blessed in a Broken World: Praying the Beatitudes Into the Needs of Our Time”
PURPOSE
The Beatitudes will provide the biblical framework for the entire night. Each hour will connect the words of
Jesus with an urgent need confronting people today—job loss and financial insecurity; illness and grief; anger
and violence; racism and injustice; bitterness and broken relationships; addiction and moral confusion; social
division; fear, loneliness, hopelessness, and the need for spiritual renewal.
This is a joint prayer ministry of three participating churches, but it is not intended only for members of those
churches or only for Seventh-day Adventists. Friends, family members, neighbors, Christians from other
congregations and denominations, and anyone who desires prayer or wishes to seek God with us should be
warmly invited to participate.
ZOOM VIGIL — NOT AN IN-PERSON GATHERING
The entire "Dusk 'Til Dawn" Prayer Vigil will be conducted on Zoom. Participants may join from their homes and
