Sankofa Project Choral Reading and Workshop Celebrating Music of Black Composers

On Saturday, April 18th, join Dr. Lloyd Mallory for the inaugural Sankofa Project event, featuring Dr. Mallory and Stanley Thurston, as well as Washington Master Chorale's Thomas Colohan, in a choral reading session and workshop celebrating music of Black composers, including Adolphus Hailstork, Florence Price, Richard Smallwood, Jasmine Barnes, Nathaniel Dett, and more. A light lunch will be provided to all workshop participants, followed by a concert at Capitol Hill featuring members of the Washington Master Chorale and the Lloyd Mallory Singers, which is free and open to the public on April 18 at 5:30 pm.

The Lunch and Choral reading session will be Sabbath afternoon at 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm. There is a $25 fee and registration is required. Register here
