The sad conclusion that was drawn from this research was most people are living lives that unfulfilled, out of balance, and without purpose. The truth is - the majority of people are living lives without true happiness and joy. They are often worried and anxious about things happening around them. What about you?

We invite you to join us for the Journey 2 Joy Bible Conference, with the host pastor, Dr. Emil Peeler! It takes place thru September 23 in person and online. It's free! Each day you can learn something different at the in-person service or from the ease of your device. It promises to be a different experience that will excite and engage you.

The opening day speaker is the host pastor, Dr. Emil Dean Peeler, senior pastor of the Capitol Hill SDA Church. There are two powerful guest speakers: Dr. James Doggette, Jr., Director for Young Adult Ministries for the Lake Region Conference and Associate Pastor of the Historic Shiloh SDA Church; and Dr. Jerrold N. Thompson, Sr., Senior Pastor of the San Bernardino Community SDA Church.

Journey 2 Joy Bible Conference

A lot of times we hear from people who fill us up with great teaching but never give us the tools we need to put it all into practice. Journey 2 Joy Bible Conference will be full of solid biblical teaching but will also give you practical tools and resources to do what you’ve learned and take it into your own home and community.

Journey 2 Joy Presenters

During the Journey 2 Joy Bible Conference there will be two guest speakers: Dr. James Doggette, Jr., director for Young Adult Ministries for the Lake Region Conference and Associate Pastor of the Historic Shiloh SDA Church, and Dr. Jerrold N. Thompson, Sr., senior pastor of the San Bernardino Community Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sacramento, California.

Dr. James Doggette, Jr.

Dr. James Doggette, Jr., is an author, executive coach, organizational leadership consultant, and pastor. He earned a BA in Ministerial Theology and a MA in Pastoral Studies at Oakwood University. He also holds a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Southeastern University.

In addition to pastoring five (5) churches in Alabama, two (2) churches in Houston, Texas, and three (3) churches in Florida, he was hired by the United States Congress as staffer & pastoral liaison for the 18th Congressional District of Texas.

Dr. Doggette is the Director for Young Adult Ministries for the Lake Region Conference and Associate Pastor of the Historic Shiloh SDA Church.

He and his wife, Demia Doggette, have three children: Noa, James, III, and Legend.

Dr. Jerrold N. Thompson, Sr.

Dr. Jerrold N. Thompson Sr. is an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is currently the Senior Pastor of the San Bernardino Community SDA Church. Under his leadership the church has grown spiritually, financially, and numerically.

Some of his noted work has been:
1. Providing the city with one of the largest health weekends in which the church serviced over 700 patients with Optometry and Dental Care.

2. Bringing in the US Dream Academy Learning Center, which focuses on children of incarcerated parents.

3. Christmas in July, in which, his church has partnered with JCPenney to provide students in San Bernardino with two free pairs of pants, shirts, and shoes.

4. Developing plans to become a Faith, Health and Education Center, to promote mental wellness.

Dr. Thompson is a community leader, He has received several recognition certificates from senators, congressmen, city officials, and has received awards from various organizations including the Black Rose.

Dr. Thompson is an Author, Adjunct Professor, and an Evangelist. He has done numerous weeks of prayers and several public evangelistic campaigns in different parts of the country and the world, leading him to have baptized over 1500 people.

Dr. Thompson, along with his Doctorate in Ministry, he also has a degree in Corporate Communication, a Master of Business Administration, and a Masters in Pastoral Studies. Prior to going into the ministry, Dr. Thompson worked at Loma Linda University Medical Center as a Manager and Administrator for their Patient Business Office.

Dr. Jerrold Thompson loves Jesus with all his heart; he believes that there is no greater power than that of the power of Jesus Christ! He is truly eager to serve God and make a difference in the lives of others.

Welcome to "SPARK Studios", where kids will learn how they were created in Christ and designed for God’s purpose! Each day kids will explore different biblical truths through Bible stories of children doing awesome things. During JoyKids, children will engage in various forms of creative expression, celebrating the SPARK that God has placed in each of them. JoyKids will offer in-person and virtual experiences from Saturday, September 9 through Saturday, September 23 (except Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays). On Saturday, December 9 (rescheduled date), we are excited to present the first-ever SPARK Young Artists Showcase! Register for the showcase below!

JoyKids participants will sing songs, play games, make crafts, and have opportunities to win great prizes - so be sure not to miss a day! Kids, to help your friends learn about God and His kingdom, be sure to spread the word!
